Fall is a wonderful time for festivals around Long Island, with something to suit every taste and member of the family. With events celebrating the fall harvest, culinary culture of Long Island, and the communities we love to call home, there's something new to enjoy nearly every weekend throughout the fall. Long Island Harvest Festival – 1770 W. Main St., Riverhead, NY 11901
The theme of this year's Long Island Harvest Festival is Apples, Pumpkins & Mums, Oh My! This year's event will take place on September 25, 2022, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Tangiers Outlets in Riverhead. Adults will love the food from local restaurants, classically trained chefs, and food trucks, along with drinks from local breweries and vineyards. There will also be some great details available at the shops. For younger attendees, there will be fun lawn games, live, interactive entertainment, and special attractions like the Bubble Palooza Bubble Bash.
The Oyster Festival – 1 West End Ave., Oyster Bay, NY 11771
For seafood lovers, few fall events can compete with The Oyster Festival, which takes place every year on the waterfront around the corner from Oyster Bay homes for sale. The Oyster Festival will be taking place on October 15 & 16, with waterfront views and fresh, delicious seafood all around you. With a mix of amateur chefs and experienced experts sharing all of the latest seafood creations, your taste buds are sure to be satisfied. There are also tons of fun entertainment options like live music, pirate shows, midway rides, and of course, the oyster eating contest.
Bellmore Family Street Festival – Sunrise Hwy. & Bedford Ave., Bellmore, NY 11710
Mark down the dates of September 22-25 on your calendar for the annual Bellmore Family Street Festival, which you can enjoy on the local streets near Bellmore homes for sale. Younger visitors will enjoy the kids' shows that feature animals, magic, and music, as well as the carnival, which takes place every evening throughout the festival. If you're searching for the classic, family-friendly carnival experience from your fall festival, then the whole family is sure to enjoy the Merrick Fall Fest & Street Fair from October 21-23 at locations close to Merrick homes for sale. Sample your favorite fair foods while your family enjoys rides, carnival games, and much more. The rides open on Friday night, while the street festival begins on Saturday morning.
Heritage Country Fair – 222 E. Main St., Smithtown, NY 11787
Hosted by the Smithtown Historical Society on 20 acres of preserved land near Smithtown homes for sale, the Heritage Country Fair is a family-friendly event full of country flair. Enjoy live music, historical reenactments, historic home tours, and demonstrations of historic crafting techniques. There will be pony rides and a petting zoo for the kids, along with great food for all ages. This year's Heritage Country Fair will take place on September 18 from 10 am to 5 pm.
