St. Patrick's Day Parades - Long Island, NY - Laffey Real Estate

St. Patrick's Day is coming up—how do you plan to celebrate?

Local parades are a great way to enjoy the merry atmosphere of the holiday while also connecting with your friends and neighbors. If you're ready to join in the fun, here are some of our real estate agents' top picks for upcoming St. Patrick's Day parades you can attend around Long Island.

  • The St. Patrick's Day Parade of the Irish American Society of Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens – Sunday, March 6 at 1 PM
Since 1950, the Irish American Society of Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens has organized an impressive St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade route circles around many of our Mineola homes for sale and through Garden City, giving the whole community a chance to enjoy the festivities. The day's events begin with a 10 AM mass at the Irish American Society Center that all are welcome to attend. The parade begins at 1 PM and will be followed by a party at the center with food, music, and a Donny Golden School of Irish Dance performance.

  • The Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade – Saturday, March 19 at Noon
This year's Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade will be held in memory of Andrew Healy, the parade's President Emeritus for the last two years. This is a charity parade, so most of the marchers are sponsored by local businesses near our Rockville Centre homes for sale. Many of them carry banners proudly displaying their sponsor's name, logo, and message, allowing you to learn more about the companies that keep this community going. All revenue raised by the parade goes to fund three charities: the Rockville Centre Breast Cancer Coalition, the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, and the Holy Family School for the Deaf (an Irish organization dating back to the mid-19th century).

  • The Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade – Sunday, March 20 at 1 PM
The Farmingdale St. Patrick's Day Parade is set for the Sunday after St. Patrick's Day 2022. The parade will travel down Main Street near many Farmingdale homes for sale, starting from Northside Elementary School and continuing down to the Village Green. While this year's activities have yet to be determined, past parades have featured fun diversions like face-painting and photo opportunities. Some restaurants, bars, and shops offer parade-related sales, so be sure to stop by some of these businesses after the main event to see what they have available.

  • The Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade - Sunday, March 20 at 1 PM
The Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade dates back to 1989 and is finally back on schedule for 2022 after a two-year hiatus. The well-loved local event begins in the area behind Finley Middle School, then travels down to Brewster Street and Glen Street (passing many of our Glen Cove homes for sale) before looping back around to the starting point. The procession is composed of local sports teams, dance academies, motorcycle clubs, and other organizations that choose to join in the festivities. The highlight of the event is a giant inflatable representation of St. Patrick himself.

  • The Bayside Saint Patrick's Day Parade - Saturday, March 26 at 1 PM
After a brief hiatus, the Bayside Saint Patrick's Day Parade returns for its fourth year in 2022. The event's goal is to remind the community near our Bayside homes for sale of the neighborhood's Irish roots. Any local organizations interested in marching are encouraged to apply—all are welcome to join in the festivities. Businesses can also sponsor the parade to ensure the organizers have the funds to keep this relatively new tradition going.

You don't need a holiday to get together with your neighbors when you live in Long Island's friendly communities. Contact us today for more information on the homes available in any of these Long Island neighborhoods.
