And the excitement doesn't end there – not by a long shot!
When you visit Merrick Golf Club, you'll also benefit from a putting green and a driving range to help you warm up. Need to round out your selection of clubs? No problem: A pro shop is available right here on site. However, remember that the range allows only irons to be used.
Want personal instruction and tips to improve your game? A PGA-certified golf teacher is here waiting for your questions and can even go out on the green with you. Complete lessons are available, and you can even get inside insights as you make purchases at the pro shop.
What about the logistics? First tee time is 6 am, and the fairway is open six days a week – it's closed every Wednesday. Handcarts are available for visitors to rent. Fees are modest, with district residents paying just $17 and non-residents $19.50, both during the week. Weekend rates are a few dollars more.
Non-residents are permitted to take in all the club has to offer on any day and pay fees only slightly higher than those paid by residents. Seniors, veterans, those with disabilities, and volunteer first-responders like firefighters and ambulance crew members all receive special, discounted rates.
