July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at the Central Mall
Of course, you don't have to hit the bay: You can also spectate directly from Jones Beach.
The classic Jones Beach Fireworks Show hits the scene at 9:30 pm and is one of the top July 4th events on the eastern seaboard. Produced in previous years by the award-winning Garden State Fireworks, it includes thousands of individual fireworks every year.
For a show lasting around 30 minutes, setup takes an amazing four days of intensive work. It's a good idea to plan ahead for your visit, because there are about 100,000 visitors each year – traffic takes about an hour to clear the park at the end of the night.
4th Annual Freedom Fest & Macy's Annual Fireworks Show
Try out the 4th Annual Freedom Fest on Pier 15 in the unforgettable surroundings of the South Side Seaport. You'll have outstanding views of the Macy's Annual Fireworks Show all night long. The party starts at 6:15 pm and kicks off with Top 40 hits from a live DJ.
You can dance all night long to the latest pop, dance, and hip-hop hits. Plus, guests will enjoy delicious July 4th fare like burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and hot dogs. There's even a premium open bar available for four whole hours throughout the event.
